Cleansing Starts in the Gut

detoxification gut health

Are You Stopped Up?

Not in the head, but in the gut.

Do you struggle to "go" every day?

Did you know we should be having 2-3 good, easy bowel movements a day.

When foods become backed up within the colon, or we eat foods that damage the colon, it affects the whole body. In fact, the colon contains up to 80% of the immune system. So if the gut isn't healthy, the immune system isn't healthy, the brain isn't' healthy, and the body isn't healthy.

What are potential signs of an unhealthy colon?

• Mucus in the stool

• Bad breath or body odors

• Frequent yeast/fungal infections

• bloating or gas

• Brain fog

• Less than one bowel movement a day

• White tongue

• Rashes, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis

• Autoimmune disorders

• Infertility

• bladder infections

• cancer

• arthritis

• Fibromyalgia

• fatigue

So how can we help heal our gut?

The first step is to eliminate or reduce intake of unhealthy and inflammatory foods. This varies for people, but the 3 "whites" are the most common.   White sugar, white flour and white milk.   To be more specific, refined sugar, hibernized, chemically sprayed modern wheat, and pasteurized cow's milk.  If you aren't sure what could be damaging the gut, muscle testing can help you determine what the offenders are.

We must then "flush" the colon. Foods that are not used by the body can build up in the colon and "rot".  Especially foods that are commercialized and modified.   Artificially flavored, colored, genetically modified and artificially preserved are foreign to the body.   The body also often lacks the enzymes needed to digest foods properly.  This already nutrient deficient food sits waiting to be digested.

There is an ideal time to cleanse certain organ systems. Fall is the peak season of the metal element which contains the lung and large intestines meridians.   According to the Law of the Five Elements, fall is the season that the lung and large intestines get the most energy from the body.  So naturally these organs are in their prime and cleansing in this time frame is considered optimal.  This is the optimal time to start any cleanse, as a healthy colon is needed for any of the other systems to be able to cleanse properly.   Got to have an exit.

Our personal favorite for a colon detox is Young Living's ICP and Comfortone. Below is the excerpt from "Inner Transformations Using Essential Oils" on how to implement these supplements for a colon cleanse:

  1. Begin with 1 Comfortone in the morning. Day 2: take one in the morning and one in the evening. Day 3: take two in the morning and one in the evening. Day 4: take two in the morning and two in the evening. Continue building like this until you are at a max of 10 daily. (Your goal is 2-3 fast and easy, formed and floating bowel movements a day). Stay on this level until you pass the mucoid plaque. (This often comes out in flakes, like little leaves floating in the toilet.)
  • Additionally, take Essentialzyme 3x daily, between meals
  • If you have diarrhea, decrease capsules until your bowels are firm again.
  • If you have constipation, increase capsules or add magnesium, peppermint oils, or get a chiropractic adjustment.
  • Drink WATER!

2. When having 2-3 good bowel movements a day, begin taking ICP, 1 tsp in the morning, in addition to the Comfortone and Essentialzyme. Mix with juice and drink quickly. Add 1/2 tsp per day until reaching 1 Tbsp. in the morning and 1 Tbsp. in the evening.

3. Continue colon cleansing until the mucoid plaque exits the colon. This could take 6 weeks-18 months. On average, this takes approximately 2-3 months.

An energy balance can help speed this along.  Restorative Touch specializes in energetically cleansing the colon which speeds up the process by several weeks.   RTKC can also customize these product amounts to the client's needs.

Additionally, to support the body in the season it's in, eat the foods that are also "in season".  There is a time and season for all things.  According to Ecclesiastes 3:11: "He has made everything appropriate in its time."  Eating those foods that are naturally harvested in the fall supports this detoxification and the natural processes of the body in this season.
