Healing from Nature

immune system lifestyle

Are you tired of running to the doctor for every sickness, small injury, or ailment? Are you ready to take control of your own health?

There's an ever-growing trend toward embracing natural remedies to address common ailments. From headaches to colds and various everyday discomforts, many of these issues can find relief through the healing properties of nature. Learning how to treat and support your body through common colds, headaches, and more can leave you feeling empowered and in control.

The Power of Nature

Before the advent of modern medicine, our ancestors relied on the healing powers of plants and natural substances to maintain health and treat ailments. While modern medicine has undoubtedly made significant advancements, many people are revisiting these age-old remedies due to their effectiveness and minimal side effects.

Let's dive into a few remedies now!

Natural Remedies for Headaches

Headaches can be a real nuisance, but you don't always need to reach for over-the-counter pain relievers. Here are some natural remedies to consider:

  1. Peppermint Oil: Peppermint oil has long been used to alleviate tension headaches. Simply dilute a few drops with a carrier oil and gently massage it onto your temples for relief. If using therapeutic grade essential oils, such as Young Living (which we recommend), a drop of peppermint oil can be placed on the roof of the mouth to help ease a headache.

  2. Hydration: Dehydration is a common cause of headaches. Ensure you're drinking enough water throughout the day to stay hydrated and ward off these pesky pains.

There are hundreds of causes of headaches from structural and emotional issues to hormones or toxins. If you experience headaches frequently, the best way to help is to determine the underlying cause. RTKC can help you discover how to reduce these in your life.

Natural Remedies for Colds

Colds can leave you feeling under the weather, but there's no need to run to a doctor for every snotty nose or sore throat. Nature has remedies to offer:

  1. Thieves Essential Oil: Young Living's Thieves oil has been shown to boost the immune system, be antimicrobial, and promote respiratory and cardiovascular health. This can be placed in honey and ingested, placed on the bottom of the feet, or diffused in a room to support the immune system.
  2. Honey and Warm Water: Honey is known for its antimicrobial properties and can soothe a sore throat. Mix a tablespoon of honey in warm water and sip on it to ease discomfort.

  3. Garlic: Garlic contains immune-boosting compounds. Incorporate it into your meals or consider taking garlic supplements to prevent and alleviate cold symptoms.

  4. Echinacea: Echinacea supplements or tea are believed to enhance the immune system's response to colds, potentially reducing both their severity and duration.

  5. Steam Inhalation: Inhaling steam from a bowl of hot water can relieve nasal congestion. For added relief, you can incorporate a few drops of eucalyptus oil into the steam.

Natural Remedies for Other Common Ailments

Beyond headaches and colds, nature has remedies for various common ailments:

  1. Aloe Vera: Aloe vera gel can be applied topically to soothe sunburn, minor burns, and skin irritations.

  2. Chamomile Tea: Chamomile tea's anti-inflammatory and soothing properties make it excellent for digestive issues, anxiety, and sleep problems.

  3. Probiotics: Probiotics found in yogurt and supplements promote a healthy gut and support digestion.

Incorporating these natural remedies into your wellness routine can be a holistic way to address common ailments while promoting overall well-being. Embracing the healing power of nature is a beautiful way to enhance your health journey.
